Fire - is a complex chemical reaction, during which fuel reacts with oxygen, one substance turns into the other, in fact, not by burning wood, but from the evolved combustible gases. Initially, when the wood reached 150 degrees Celsius, it breaks down its cellulose and lignin – we have pyrolysis.
This then separates the combustible gases; hydrogen, carbon monoxide, methane, which then immediately ignites. The flame then furthers the thermal decomposition of the wood. The blue flame indicates the burning toxic gases - carbon monoxide. Distinguished from the burning wood to gas, we see the smoke. White smoke is formed from water gas, and black smoke from dispersive carbon and hard wood in flammable creosote fumes. After the pyrolysis, remains carbon, which is not burnt by the average flames which then creates smog into the environment’s oxygen and emits carbon dioxide and water vapour.
The smoke carries the soot and creosote which poses the greatest risk. Wood burning water vapour arising from them "adhere", cool and does not burn. Due to the large weight, resin particles cannot separate from the smoke but adheres to the heating appliance and chimney components. Even in small quantities, the device then fails to operate at 100% efficiency which also accelerates its wear, stimulates corrosion, and in many cases causes chimney fires.
HANSA Chimney resin cleaner is composed of special crystals which affect the catalytic combustion process of the wood burning – and break the wood tar into inflammable gasses, the other - at high temperatures releases the gas that reacts and destroys resign silts. As a result, the water evaporates and becomes the main strength of the resin-enabled component. It then remains only brittle resin residues that eventually fall down and then burn.
Add one or two packages to the heating device before setting fire. Firstly we recommend to use a sachet every time placed on top of the fuel before setting fire. After ten fires you may then use it on every four or five fires.
